Enjoy boating and fishing on the lakes,
shopping for antiques and treasures,
and bird watching in the piney woods

Whether you prefer activities like fishing and boating or afternoons of antique shopping and touring gardens, you'll find just what you're looking for when you stay at Hitchin' Post RV Park near Tyler Texas. Make our camp into your home away from home while you plan day trips for paddle boating and canoeing on Lake Caddo or boating and fishing at Lake O' The Pines. Set your rod for Largemouth bass, Spotted bass, White bass, Crappie, Sunfish, Chain pickerel, or Blue, channel and flathead catfish.
Nice Shady Sites
Convenient Onsite Laundrymat
If you prefer a day at the mall to a day on the lake, then set your sights on the Longview Antique Mall, set just twelve miles away from camp. Take a tour of Marshall Pottery in nearby Marshall or head to the shops of Tyler Texas, set forty-five miles away. You certainly won't want to miss the excitement during Canton's First Monday Trade Days, the largest flea market in the country. Held during the first weekend of every month (Thursday - Monday), this shopping extravaganza draws more than 3,000 vendors.
You'll find incredible bird watching along the Prairies & Pineywoods Wildlife Trail that runs through Lake O' The Pines. Bring your binoculars and watch for water birds like loons and ducks, grebes, egrets, and great blue herons. Look for kingfishers and scissor-tailed flycatchers, then enjoy a picnic in the company of red-winged blackbirds and sparkling dragonflies. From there, head off to see the exotic animals at the Cherokee Trace Drive-Thru Safari or the wide array of species at the Caldwell Zoo in Tyler.
Spacious Pull-Thru Sites
Just Like Home!
If you visit our East Texas RV park in November, be sure to take in the annual Wonderland of Lights event, hosted by the town of Marshall. Enjoy a carriage tour of downtown, ice skating, and all the festive joy of the holiday season. During any time of year, you can arrange a visit to one of our nearby cultural attractions like the Tyler Museum of Art, the Tyler Rose Museum, or the Marshall Museum of Art. You can take the kids for a day of swimming and sliding at Splash Kingdom Family Waterpark or simply enjoy a relaxing evening right here in camp, playing guitars and singing camp songs under the Texas stars.
